Good Morning, Faithful Readers!
We’re here at the airport, all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed! Well…okay, maybe not bright-eyed; more like bleary-eyed. As for the bushy tail…maybe more of a slightly flat and lifeless tail! J
We rose at 3:00am and left Presque Isle with Lisa’s friend Christie at 3:45, bound for Bangor. I do not remember much of the trip, as I was passed out in the back seat. I didn’t sleep all that well, as I was just too excited about the trip!!! However, I did stay awake enough to see A MOOSE ON THE ROAD!!! That’s right, we encountered a moose standing on the road, just minding his own business! For our safety, however, Mr. Moose stayed on the opposite side of the road! J
Check-in was successful. I was a little nervous about whether my luggage would be too heavy, for, as many of my good friends know, I’m not what you would call a “light packer”! They don’t call me “Pack-n-Go” for nothin’! J But thankfully, my suitcases just barely made it! Yay!
So, here I sit, watching our carry-ons. Lisa & Christie have disappeared somewhere, and I am guarding our things with my life! Yargh! J I’m very excited about the trip ahead, despite my fatigue (That’s what coffee’s for!). It still feels a little surreal, even as I was holding the ticket in my hand. I know it will sink in for me when I sit down on the plane, and as we feel the plane slowly leave the ground. What an exhilarating feeling that is, to feel the plane slowly lift! I can’t wait! But, until then, I shall drink my coffee and wait…
But, before I go, I leave you with this thought from the good people at Bangor International Airport: “Do not accept things from people you don’t know”. Thank-you BGR, because I almost took candy from that sketchy character standing by the washrooms! J Gimme a Break!
Until Next Time,
Chels
